WTEN: Sobrino, Seo Named Academic All-District® for Tennis

GREENWOOD, IN – College Sports Communicators released the 2024-25 Academic All-District® Tennis teams on Tuesday with a pair Highlander student-athletes recognized.
 
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Tennis teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's & women's tennis honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Women's Tennis senior Kailee Sobrino (Vail, AZ / Empire) and Hajin Seo (Bangkok, Thailand / International Community School) were recognized for their accomplishments on both the court and in the classroom. Sobrino was also recognized this year as an Academic All-District player for Women's Basketball.
 
To be nominated for the Academic All-America® program, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, be an undergraduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) or graduate student-athlete with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale), and must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. Additional information about community service and academics is considered for the selection of Academic All-America® Finalists once Academic All-District® is selected.
 
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
