LANGHORNE, PA – Cairn Women's Tennis opened up their Fall season against Rutgers-Camden for a late afternoon match at home, falling by a score of 6-1.
DOUBLES PLAY
Cairn (0-1) kicked off their season with doubles play from junior
Reagan Griffith (Doylestown, PA / Central Bucks East) and senior
Tatiana Ipri (Mullica Hill, NJ / Gloucester County Christian), putting up a battle for the lone doubles match for Cairn, but coming up just short falling by a score of 7-6, 7-0 in the tiebreaker.
SINGLES PLAY
Griffith got Cairn on the board with a dominant win in her #1 singles match, taking care of business with a 6-3, 6-4 final score. In her #2 singles match, Ipri fought hard but came up short by a score of 6-1, 6-1. Junior
Hajin Seo (Bangkok, Thailand / International Community School) took on the #3 singles assignment for the Highlanders and gave it her all, but ultimately coming short with a score of 6-1, 6-0.
The Highlanders look to bounce back on Saturday against Immaculata University In Langhorne, PA for a 12 pm non-conference contest.
