SB: Highlanders Fall 3-1 at Cedar Crest

ALLENTOWN, PA – Cairn Softball played the rare single game on the road at Cedar Crest, Thursday, coming up just short, 3-1.
 
Cedar Crest (18-18 / 10-4 UNITED EAST) took the lead with a solo home run in the first. The Highlanders matched in the top of the second as junior pitcher Sydney Wright (Souderton, PA / Souderton) reached on an error and came around to tie the game as junior first baseman Abby McIntyre (Galloway, NJ / Pilgrim Academy) doubled.
 
The Falcons would break the stalemate in the fifth with a single and an error, holding onto the lead for a 3-1 victory.
 
Junior catcher Myiah Petroro (Long Island, NY / Liberty University Online Academy) had two hits, including a double, in the effort with McIntyre adding the second extra base hit for the Highlanders.
 
Cairn will head to Rosemont on Friday for their season finale at 3 and 5 pm.
