LANGHORNE, PA – Baseball took home a 9-4 conference win over Valley Forge on Wednesday, moving to 2-1 in their first week of conference play.
Senior centerfielder
Will Wikner (Gaithersburg, MD / Shenandoah University) got the scoring started as he singled through the left side, advancing on a balk and scoring as classmate
Tyler Warr (Langhorne, PA / Neshaminy) singled. Junior catcher
Zach Bauers (Cooper City, FL / Cooper City) beat out an infield single to put two runners on for sophomore second baseman
Andrew Holt (Sunrise, FL / New College of Florida) to drive both in with a single to right.
Cairn (13-8 / 2-1 UNITED EAST) kept on pace in the third, scoring two from the bat of senior designated hitter
Tyler Harris (Oxford, PA / Oxford Area) and senior right fielder
Dylan Jackson (Levittown, PA / Chestnut Hill College) scoring Harris to make it 6-0. Another run came in the fourth as Holt scored Warr on a sacrifice fly. The lead was extended to nine runs in the sixth as sophomore shortstop
