LANGHORNE, PA – Cairn Baseball picked up their thirds-straight win with a 17-7 victory over fellow Bucks County team, Delaware Valley, on Wednesday.
The Aggies were first on the scoreboard, driving in a run with an RBI triple in the first. Junior designated hitter
Ben Gagnon (Bethlehem, PA / Northampton CC) reached on a fielder's choice in the second, scoring junior catcher
Zach Bauers (Cooper City, FL / Cooper City). Senior right fielder
Dylan Jackson (Levittown, PA / Chestnut Hill College) worked a walk with the bases loaded to put Cairn (11-5 / UNITED EAST) ahead 2-1.
Senior center fielder
Will Wikner (Gaithersburg, MD / Shenandoah University) singled to lead off the third, scoring as Gagnon singled through the left side with the Highlanders adding another run on a wild pitch. Delaware Valley (2-17 / 0-6 MAC FREEDOM) scored again in the fourth on a passed ball. Cairn added an eight-spot in the bottom half as sophomore second baseman
Andrew Holt (Sunrise, FL / New College of Florida) and junior outfielder
Noah Rush (Perkasie, PA / Lehigh Carbon CC) tripled in the frame.
Three more runs for the Aggies came in the fifth as the Highlanders put up their fourteenth and fifteenth run in the bottom half as sophomore shortstop
Nathan Schurga (Wilmington, DE / Conrad Schools of Science) tripled for Cairn's third triple of the day.
Cairn added two more between the sixth and eighth innings as they held DelVal scoreless until two runs in the ninth.
Wikner went 3-5 with a pair of runs while Gagnon drove in a game-high 5 RBI going 2-4. Senior first baseman
Tyler Warr (Langhorne, PA / Neshaminy), Bauers, Holt, and Schurga each also had two hits.

Connor Ferguson (Laguna Niguel, CA / Capistrano Valley Christian School) and sophomore reliever
Zachary Dennis (Midland Park, NJ / Midland Park HS) each threw a scoreless inning in relief.
Cairn will match up with #15 Gettysburg on Thursday for a 3:30 pm first pitch.
