LANCASTER, PA – Cairn Men's Basketball held their rematch with Lancaster Bible College on Wednesday as they were outpaced by the Chargers, 76-65.
Lancaster Bible (16-6 / 11-2 UNITED EAST) opened on an 8-0 run, remaining in control as the Highlanders were held to single digits for almost eight minutes, finding open looks in the paint for layups as their lead grew to fourteen. The Chargers capitalized on a dunk in the closing seconds of the half to keep the momentum in their favor, ahead 37-24.

Josiah Hardy (Ashburn, VA / Hampden-Sydney) began the half with two layups as classmate
Ashton West (Newport Beach, CA / Clarks Summit University) splashed a three to get things swinging back Cairn's (10-12 / 7-6 UNITED EAST) way. Fifth year forward
Isaiah Coleman (Fontana, CA / Clarks Summit University) added two layups of his own with a three-pointer in the midst of two layups by Hardy for a quick eleven points, West banked in a pair of layups to cut the lead to seven. Lancaster Bible got back on the charge, pushing the lead back to double figures with a triple as they kept the Highlanders at bay, taking the game 76-65.
Hardy led with sixteen points and a pair of blocked shots while West contributed fourteen and a game-high six assists. Coleman went 5-9 from the field for thirteen points.
Cairn will face off with Gallaudet on the road Saturday, tipping off at 3:30 p.m.
