WXC: Hayden Returns to the Podium in Highlander Invitational

LANGHORNE, PA – The Cairn Women's Cross Country team put together a determined performance at the Highlander XC Invitational on Saturday, placing third as a team with two runners in the Top 20.

Leading the way for Cairn was junior Clarisse Hayden (Bangkok, Thailand / International Community School), who continued her outstanding season by finishing second overall with a time of 25:07.4, averaging a 6:44 mile pace.Behind Hayden, senior AyliGrace Munro (Bar Harbor, ME / Mt. Desert Island) secured 12th place, clocking 27:33.1 and maintaining a consistent pace of 7:23 per mile. Senior Morgan Steele (Bowie, MD / Estele Christian Academy) followed in 36th place with a time of 31:21.3, while junior Clara Tylavsky (Des Moines, IA / Saydel) finished 39th in 31:51.6. Sophomore Madelynne Davis (Philadelphia, PA / Calvary Christian Academy) rounded out Cairn's scoring five, placing 42nd in 32:11.4. Senior Emma Lowe (New Cumberland, PA / West Shore Christian Academy) and sophomore Maszie Granz (Manchester, PA / Northeastern) also competed, finishing 76th (40:38.3) and 65th (36:53.0), respectively, contributing valuable support and experience to the team's overall effort.

Cairn will travel to Glassboro, NJ on October 18th to race in the Border Battle for their last meet of the regular season.
