PHOENIXVILLE, PA – Cairn Men's Basketball completed the season sweep of Valley Forge, taking the road conference match 84-65.

Isaiah Coleman (Fontana, CA / Clarks Summit University) the first three of the game to help turn the tide, leading to a layup from graduate forward
Josiah Hardy (Ashburn, VA / Hampden-Sydney) securing the lead. Valley Forge (7-13 / 2-7) fought back as they traded shots with the Highlanders. Hardy made a mid-range shot, adding a pair of free throws on the next possession and a three on Cairn's (10-8 / 7-2) subsequent score to put his team up by three. Senior guard
Christian Rivera (Cayey, Puerto Rico / Central Bucks East) took his turn with a pair of layups, making the second through contact and completing the three-point play. As the first half came down to the finish, senior guard
Jonathan Desir (Feasterville, PA / Neshaminy) splashed a three with Cairn holding onto a one-possession lead, 37-34.
Hardy banked in a layup as the Highlanders had possession to open the second frame for his 1,000
th career point. The Highlanders followed that up with a three-pointer from Coleman to begin creating some distance. Rivera got through the paint again for a layup as Coleman marked his third triple of the night. Graduate guard
Corey Baldwin (Henderson, NC / Averett) got in on the action, making a pair of threes on his next two tries for goal. Classmate Jayon Simpson (Atlanta, GA / Belmont Abbey) scored a three and threw down a dunk with the Highlander lead at fourteen. Baldwin added two more triples down the stretch as freshman guard
Andrew DaCosta (Bordentown, NJ / Bordentown) made a pair of threes in the final minutes to keep the margin above twenty points. Cairn picked up their second-straight conference win, 84-65.
Baldwin led the team with eighteen points on 5-5 shooting from behind the arc and 6-9 from the field. Hardy added 17 with his 1,000
th career point and ten rebounds on the night, shooting 60% from the floor. Coleman had 11 with three deep shots and seven boards. The Highlanders shot 44.8% from both the field and behind the three-point line which helped as they shot 55% from the free throw line.
The Highlanders will return home on Saturday to host Notre Dame (MD) for a 3:30 p.m. tip off.
