ABINGTON, PA – Cairn Women's Cross Country made their mark on the Abington Invitational on Saturday, finishing on the podium as a team in second place with three top-25 finishes and two personal bests.
Sophomore
Clarisse Hayden (Bangkok, Thailand / International Community School) led the way once again for Cairn, placing fifth with a time of 25:44.7. Junior
AyliGrace Munro (Bar Harbor, ME / Mount Desert Island) followed in 19
th place at 28:59.7 and senior
Erin Wilson (Southampton, PA / Calvary Christian) rounded out the top-25 in 22
nd at 29:22.5.

Morgan Steele (Bowie, MD / Estele Christian Academy) clocked in at 32:05.2 in 36
th place, senior
Amber Farrell (Philadelphia, PA / Franklin Towne Charter) placed 43
rd (32:55.6) as fifth year
Addie Olsen (Lansdale, PA / Gwynedd Mercy Academy) placed 47
th (33:33.8) and junior
Emma Lowe (New Cumberland, PA / West Shore Christian Academy) brought about the final Highlander runner to finish, in 49
th at 33:53.2.
Finishing all seven Highlander runners in the top-50 gave Cairn the second best result as a team, earning them a trophy and place on the podium.
Farrell & Lowe each set personal bests, Farrell besting her previous time by two minutes and Lowe beating her personal best by just under five minutes.
The Highlanders will race next in the Bryn Athyn Invitational on Saturday, September 28.
