BB: Baseball Falls in Atlantic East Crossover with Neumann

ASTON, PA – The Cairn Baseball team dropped their midweek nonconference match up with the Neumann Knights, 18-1.
 
NOTABLES
  • Fifth year third baseman Sam Spadea (Yardley, PA / Pennsbury) had two hits with a double and an RBI on the afternoon.
  • Sophomore righty Paulie Brosious (Schenectady, NY / Schalmont) made his first collegiate pitching appearance, throwing an inning in relief with a strikeout and surrendering a single earned run.
 
SCORING PLAYS
  • Fifth year second baseman Joe Greenwood (Wall, NJ / Calvary Academy) started Cairn (14-12 / 8-4 UNITED EAST SKYE DIVISION) with the single in the second inning. Spadea followed with a double down the right field line, scoring Greenwood.
 
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
  • The Highlanders head to Morristown, NJ to take on St. Elizabeth University in Skye Division play at FDU Florham on Friday afternoon before hosting the Eagles on Saturday for a doubleheader in Langhorne at 12 & 2 p.m.
