SB: Cairn Falls to Notre Dame in Conference Doubleheader

BALTIMORE, MD -  The Cairn Softball team continued conference play on Wednesday at Notre Dame of Maryland University where the Highlanders fell 9-1 and 8-0 on the afternoon.
 
NOTABLES
  • Sophomore infielder Myiah Petroro (Long Island, NY / Liberty University Online Academy) had a hit in game one and walk in game two, extending her reached base streak to three games.
  • Junior infielder Abbi Heacock (Media, PA / Delaware County Christian School) drove in Petroro with a sacrifice fly in game one.
  • In game two, sophomore outfielder Sydney Wright (Souderton, PA/ Souderton Area HS) went 2-3 with a pair of singles, classmate Evelyn Johnson (Yardley, PA / Calvary Christian) added a hit as well.
SCORING PLAYS
  • Heacock scored Petroro in the first inning of game one on a sacrifice fly after Petroro walked to lead off the inning.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
  • The Highlanders prepare for the weekend where they host Cedar Crest College for two games on Saturday at 11 a.m. & 1 p.m.
