WSOC: #8 Highlanders to Match Up With #9 Bryn Athyn in First Round

LANGHORNE, PA - Cairn Women's Soccer prepares for postseason play in the United East Women's Soccer Championship this week. 

Cairn Women's Soccer comes in ranked eighth overall (5-3-0). This season the Highlanders have scored twenty-nine goals, averaging 2.07 goals per game with twenty-two assists and sixty-seven saves, earning their way into the postseason. Cairn hosted eight of their fourteen games, going 4-3-1 inside the Stillman Athletic Complex.

Leading the team with seven goals this season are sophomore midfielder Paige Noble (Egg Harbor Twp., NJ / Atlantic Christian) and freshman forward Julia Condurso (Brick, NJ / Calvary Academy). Noble has the lead in points with 19 along while Condurso has 18 points. Behind them is sophomore midfielder Ella Quince (Morrisville, PA / Morrisville) with four goals on the year, leading the team in shots at thirty-seven. Tied under Quince for shots is Noble and Condurso who each took thirty-six shots. 

Noble led the Highlanders in assists as well, providing five. Right behind Noble is Condurso and fifth-year midfielder Em Kuansongtham (Bangkok, Thailand / International Community School) with four assists apiece. 

As a team, the Highlanders averaged 17.3 shots per game to their opponents' 14.6 with a team high in their game against Penn State Brandywine where Cairn had fifty shots against the Nittany Lions leading to six goals, hence why 53.3% of their shots on goal are netted.

Cairn Women's Soccer looks to carry their strong shooting into the postseason when they will first host the ninth seed Lions of Bryn Athyn College on October 29 at 7 p.m.
