READING, Pa. – The Cairn University men's lacrosse team lost, 11-3, on the road against non-conference adversary Alvernia University on Wednesday evening.
Alvernia (3-2) notched the first goal of the contest, before Cairn (0-4) tied the bout up at one a-piece after junior

Cole Heffler (Eldersburg, MD / Central Maryland Christian) in the slot for Cairn's first goal of the contest. However, the Golden Wolves scored the following nine goals of the contest to take control and seal the victory.

Tyler Orozco (Edgemere, MD / FCA) scored the three goals on the day for Cairn. Freshman
Nicholas Kennedy (Hudson Valley, NY / Goshen Central) led the defense with a team-high five ground balls. Sophomore goalkeeper
Nico Cione (Yardley, PA / Pennsbury) corralled a game-high 14 saves between the pipes in a complete game effort for Cairn.
The Highlanders will return to the field on Saturday, March 18 when they conclude their four-game road trip in New York for a non-conference contest with Purchase College at 12 p.m.
