How It Played Out
  • Cairn (6-2 / 2-1 United East Skye Division) was rolling out of the gate on a 13-2 run to start things off, eight of which were scored by Derian Bradford. Bryn Athyn (7-2 / 3-0 United East Skye Division) quickly tied things up to match the Highlanders.
  • Junior guard Christian Rivera (Cayey, Puerto Rico / Central Bucks East) made two layups and free throw to put Cairn back up 9.
  • Owen Bradford would score four in a row to give the Highlanders the small edge going to halftime up 37-36.
  • Half number two got underway in the same fashion as the first with 12 straight Highlander points, six by Owen Bradford before the Lions cut the lead in half.
  • Fifth year guard Josh Forker (Telford, PA / Faith Christian Academy) knocked down a three halfway through the frame with the Highlanders in the lead 54-48.
  • Bryn Athyn cut the lead to one with six minutes to play before junior guard Jonathan Desir (Feasterville, PA / Neshaminy HS) responded with a triple. Rivera put the Highlanders back up four on a layup until the Lions made a three of their own and fast break dunk, subsequently taking the lead with seconds remaining.
  • A pair of Lion free throws would put things out of reach for Cairn as they fell 72-67 on the road.
