CLARKS SUMMIT, PA – The Cairn University Men's Basketball team took on the Defenders of Clarks Summit University up in Clarks Summit on Saturday afternoon, where the Highlanders picked up their second conference win, 77-58.

• Senior forward Derian Bradford (Lansdale, PA / Faith Christian Academy) was the top performer on the game, scoring 28 on 12-19 shooting, including two triples and nine rebounds.
• Senior forward Aytor Alberto (Willemstad, Curaçao / Clarks Summit University) and fifth year guard Josh Forker (Telford, PA / Faith Christian Academy) rounded out the double-digit scorers with 16 and 10 points, respectively, and four rebounds apiece.
• Junior guard Christian Rivera (Cayey, Puerto Rico / Central Bucks East) tallied eight assists.
• Junior guard Ismael Baqai (Pembroke Pines, FL / Washington College (MD)) deposited a game-high three triples on 60% shooting from deep.
• The Highlander defense was on their game, holding all Clarks Summit scorers to single digits.

How It Played Out

• Cairn (5-1 / 2-0 United East Skye Division) came out to a 12-2 run through the first three minutes of play, taking the first and only lead of the game.
• Baqai knocked down three three-pointers within just over a minute of play with 6 minutes remaining in the first half.
• The Highlanders closed the half up 47-28.
• All was quiet for the first two minutes of the second frame until Clarks Summit (1-8 / 0-3 United East Skye Division) made the first score. The closest the Defenders would get is within 15 points as the Highlander offense continued firing on all cylinders.
