LANGHORNE, Pa. – The Cairn University women's basketball team lost, 84-30, at home against the No. 1 team in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) standings, Notre Dame of Maryland University, on Saturday afternoon.
Notre Dame (14-3, 10-0 CSAC) took an early 8-0 lead before Cairn (4-12, 2-8 CSAC) got its first bucket of the contest courtesy of sophomore
Tamia Warner (Ewing, NJ / Ewing HS). The Gators led 22-8 after one. The Gators sparked a 7-0 run to start the second frame and led 46-15 at intermission, and closed out the contest in the second half.
Cairn was paced on offense by sophomore
Taylor Hinson (Carney's Point, NJ / Collingswood HS), who finished in double figures with a team-high 14 points and seven rebounds. Warner followed with nine points and a team-high three steals, while freshman
Dreyonna Graham (Morrisville, PA / Morrisville HS) added four points off the bench.
The Highlanders will be back on the hardwood on Wednesday, January 25 when they hit the road for a conference contest at Bryn Athyn College at 8 p.m.
