LANCASTER, Pa. – The Cairn University women's soccer team was back on the road Wednesday evening, where they lost to non-conference foe Lancaster Bible College by a score of 2-0.
Lancaster Bible (2-1) controlled the tempo early, getting off three shots in the first ten minutes of play. A goal from Kara Huber put the Chargers up in the 10
th minute, followed by Megan Rogers in the 23
rd minute to set the lead at 2-0. Cairn (1-2) spent much of the half on defense, with sophomore goalkeeper
Isabelle Lazor (Midland Park, NJ / Eastern Christian H.S.) corralling five shots in the half. Neither squad found the back of the net in the second half, with
Lancaster Bible outpacing the Highlanders in shots 7-0.
Lancaster Bible held the Highlanders to a single shot on the evening from junior midfielder
Teresa Lee (Jackson, NJ / Calvary Academy). Lazor finished with nine saves in a complete game effort.
The Highlanders are back on the pitch on Saturday, September 10 when they hit the road for a non-conference bout at Penn State Mont Alto. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
