MONTCLAIR, N.J. – The Cairn University men's lacrosse team, lost, 22-2, on the road at Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) foe Montclair State University on Monday.

Montclair State (8-4, 2-1 CSAC) proved its worth as a conference championship contender, scoring the first 17 goals of the contest before freshman Ramon Juarez (Gaithersburg, MD / Bridgton Academy) got Cairn (1-7, 1-2 CSAC) on the board with a goal in the third period. The Highlanders also scored the final tally of the contest, courtesy of freshman Ethan Meiers (Plainsboro, NJ / West Windsor Plainsboro South) who notched his first career goal. Freshman Devin Murphy (Walden, NY / Valley Central) paced the Highlander defense with a team-high four ground balls and a career-high five caused turnovers. Freshman net minder Nico Cione (Yardley, PA / Pennsbury) corralled a game-high 19 saves in a complete game effort.
