HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – The Cairn University men's tennis team competed in three matches over their Spring Break Trip in sunny Hilton Head Island this past week.
 
Cairn (3-5) dropped its first match of the trip to Brevard College by a score of 7-2. The Highlanders picked up victories from senior Timothy Robinson, Jr. (Cinnaminson, NJ / Cinnaminson) in No. 3 singles (6-2, 6-2) and classmate Jake Edwards (6-1, 4-6, 10-3) in the No. 4 slot.
 
After dropping a 6-0 decision to Albion on Monday, the Highlanders engaged in a tight-knit battle with Marietta, falling 5-4. Edwards, senior Ismael Santana (Danbury, CT / Danbury) and junior Joel Cassel (Glenside, PA / Calvary Christian Academy) each earned singles victories.
 
The Highlanders will be back on the court on Monday, March 21 when they travel to Gwynedd Mercy University for a non-conference contest at 4 p.m.
