WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Cairn University men's tennis team fell in their final contest of the fall season by a score of 7-2 against non-conference foe King's College on Tuesday.
Cairn (3-2) claimed two victories on the day, with both wins coming in singles matches as freshman
Michael Wilson (New Hope, PA / New Hope Solebury) claimed a 7-6, 4-6 (12-10) tiebreaker victory at No. 2 singles. Wilson improved to a team-best 4-1 in singles matches with the win. Cairn's other victory over King's (1-0) came at the hands of senior
Ismael Santana (Danbury, CT / Danbury HS), who earned a 6-0, 6-0 shutout triumph in the No. 6 slot.
The Highlanders will now break for the winter before returning to action in the Spring, with their spring schedule to be announced at a later date.
