LA PLUME, Pa. – The Cairn University women's volleyball team earned its fourth-straight victory of the season with a 3-0 (25-15, 25-17, 25-14) shutout win over Keystone College (their first win over Keystone since 2014) on the road on Wednesday evening.
Cairn (6-11, 3-1 CSAC) trailed 6-4 against Keystone (1-15, 0-3 CSAC) early in the first set, before the Highlanders ignited a 12-point rally to take a commanding 16-6 lead and cruised to a first-set victory. In set two, both teams were deadlocked at 12 a-piece, before the Highlanders went on another run, this time scoring 13 of the final 18 points to take a 2-0 lead in the match. Cairn rode that momentum and claimed the final set by a score of 25-14 to cap off the shutout.

Allison Barnes (Macungie, PA / Salem Christian) for the second-straight match, as Barnes tied a game-high with 11 kills and posted a career-high .500 hitting percentage. Freshman
Peyton Queen (Orlando, FL / Lake Mary) followed Barnes with seven kills and tied a game-high with 10 digs. Classmate
Caroline Conrad (Bangkok, Thailand / International Community School) added five kills and matched Queen with 10 digs and totaled a game-high five service aces. Freshman
Hendryl Peabody (Bensalem, PA / Faith Baptist Christian Academy) posted six kills while sophomore
Olivia Zepp (Westminster, MD / Francis Scott Key) dished out a game-high 29 assists in the win.
Cairn will be back on the court on Saturday, October 16 when it travels to the University of Valley Forge aiming for its fifth-straight victory. Match time is scheduled for 11 a.m.
