DOVER, DE- The Highlanders offense continued to warm up over the weekend as they scored 8 runs and notched their first win of the season against Wesley College.

The Highlanders saw a gem of a pitching performance in game one as
Carson Conradt pitched 6 innings, while giving up 0 earned runs before ceding the ball to
Bryan Stimpson who also notched 0 earned runs in his inning of work. Josh Melchior led the Highlanders on the offensive end, picking up 3 hits and an RBI atop the lineup.
Andrew Philips and Sam Spadea also chipped in with their first RBI's of the season. Freshman
Cameron Culver performed admirably in relief, carding five straight outs before the Wolverines knocked back-to-back hits to take a 4-3 lead in the afternoon's first contest.

Game two saw the highlanders take control early with 5 runs over the first three innings, a lead that
Tanner Keeley would not relinquish. The freshman pitched 6 solid innings, giving up only 1 earned run, before
Ben Spadea entered and set the Wolverines down in order.

The Highlanders will host Houghton College in back-to-back doubleheaders over the weekend with game one beginning Friday at 12:00 PM. Come out and support!
