MORRISTOWN, NJ- The Highlanders took part in a piece of CSAC history Wednesday night, taking on the St. Elizabeth Eagles for the first-ever men's volleyball match in the Colonial States Athletic Conference.
Â
The Highlanders battled hard and saw great performances from their middles, but were unfortunately unable to achieve their first win of the season. Cairn continued to receive measured play from a number of performers as 7 different Highlanders notched a kill, but the Highlanders could not break through, dropping the final two sets by just two points each.
Â
Colin Benjamin led the Highlanders with 9 kills,
Anton Deleon chipped in with 5 kills and 5 blocks, and
Scott Bassill finished with 19 assists. Â
Â
The Highlanders will travel to Misericordia for a tri-match this weekend against the Cougars and Hunter College.
