ALLENTOWN, PA- In a battle of the CSAC's top contenders, the Highlanders drew even with Cedar Crest College 1-1 after a double overtime battle.

The Highlanders struck first when
Lauren Costa gathered a pass from
Brea Zellner in the middle of the field, turning and firing into the top right corner to give Cairn a 1-0 lead. The Highlanders lead lasted only two minutes; a handball in the box gave the Falcons a penalty kick which was quickly converted to tie the game at 1-apiece. Chances were few and far between as each team's defenders shined, shutting down a couple attacks and keeping the ball in the midfield. Neither team could find a substantial chance and the game headed to overtime. Despite an extra twenty minutes of play, the early goals held up and the final regular season game of the ended in a tie.

With playoff seeding set, the Highlanders officially earned the #3 overall seed with an awesome 7-1-1 mark in CSAC play. Cairn will travel to Centenary University next Wednesday, taking on the Cyclones in the CSAC semifinal! Game time is yet to be determined.
