LANGHORNE, PA- After a tough weekend against the top 25 ranked Keystone Giants, the Highlanders bounced back, defeating the Neumann Knights 3-1 to keep their CSAC playoff hopes alive.
Â
Needing a win the Highlanders turned to freshman
Carson Conradt on the mound.  After a productive last couple outings, Conradt hit his stride today, mowing through the Knights lineup through the first four frames. The Highlanders got on the board in the fourth, beginning with a Nate Wilson single and steal of second base to set the table.  After
Daniel Morales walked, Wilson raced home on a
Brett Marks single, narrowly beating the throw home. Dan Bierc answered with another single to score Morales, and Marks scored as on an
Emilio Alvarez sacrifice fly to give the Highlanders a 3-0 victory. Staked to a 3-0 lead, Conradt continued to shine, utilizing excellent command of his off speed pitches to keep the Knights off balance and set down batter after batter. Conradt pitched 8 1/3 scoreless innings before conceding the ball to
Sam Dralle for the save. After a walk and bloop single gave Neumann their first run of the day, Dralle buckled down, inducing a strikeout and groundout to end the game and give the Highlanders a crucial win.

The Highlanders will travel to Neumann to complete their series Wednesday afternoon at 3:00 PM.
