LANGHORNE, PA- The Highlanders hosted Gwynedd Mercy University in a pivotal CSAC matchup, coming close but falling to the Griffins 4-1.
 
The Highlanders notched the afternoon's first run after Brett Marks singled and showed great awareness to advance to second on a groundout, and third on an error by the pitcher. DH Dan Bierc did his job, grounding out but knocking Marks in for the first run of the day. The Griffins answered in the top of the fourth, notching four runs thanks in large part to a three run homer to left field. Cairn picked at the Griffins, Jake Allen set the table with two leadoff hits, but the Highlanders were unable to find the breakthrough hit to jump start their comeback.
 
Cairn will face off against Keystone College this Saturday in a home doubleheader beginning at 12:00 PM.
