RADNOR, PA- After a doubleheader split against LBC earlier this week the Highlanders faced off against CSAC powerhouse Cabrini yesterday afternoon, dropping both contests to fall below .500 for the season.
 
In game one the Highlanders struggled to solve Cabrini ace Jess Giordano. Meagan Maratita and Haley Tinney each picked up hits to lead the Highlanders offense, but the Highlanders simply could not string together enough offense to achieve their 13^th victory of the season. The Highlanders rebounded in game two, starting with a big third inning when Reaven East helped her own cause with a double down the left field line. McKenna Schindele followed with a single to score East, before Haley Tinney smoked a triple down the right field line, later scoring on a Katelynn Reiss groundout. East started another rally in the fourth with a single up the middle, Schindele walked, and Tinney struck another big blow with a single to right field. Meagan Maratita came through with the bases loaded singling up the middle for two RBI. Despite the Highlanders offensive rallies in game two, Cairn was unable to overcome Cabrini's hot bats, dropping game two 15-7.
 
Cairn will seek to rebound against Clarks Summit this afternoon when they host the Defenders in a CSAC doubleheader beginning at 12:00 PM.
