LANGHORNE, PA - The Cairn Highlanders continued their stretch of conference play with a doubleheader sweep of the Clarks Summit Defenders Saturday afternoon on a perfect afternoon for softball. Krista Earl picked up both wins in the circle for Cairn improving her record to 13-8 on the season. The Highlanders won game one by a score of 3-0 behind Earl's complete game three-hitter with 12 strikeouts. The offense came alive in the second game as the Highlanders exploded for seven runs in the first inning, before finishing off the Defenders 10-1. In game two, the Highlanders were paced behind a balanced offense as nearly every batter had a hit in the game.
