IMMACULATA, PA- After countless reschedules, the Highlanders opened their season against Immaculata, playing their first match and first CSAC match of the season.

With such a stilted practice schedule due to the inclement weather, the Highlanders struggled to find their footing in the season opener, losing 8-0 to the Mighty Macs. Despite the loss, the Highlanders had a couple bright spots, namely the play of Charlotte Camp, who was a part of four wins on the day. Additionally, freshman Rachel Smith played an excellent match. After narrowly dropping the first set, 6-7, Smith battled back to win the second set 10-6. With all of the momentum on her side, Smith seemed to be on her way to a win in the #6 singles match before the match was halted by rain.

The Highlanders will be back in action Tuesday at 3:00 PM when they host Rosemont College beginning at 3:30 PM.
