IMMACULATA, PA- Seeking another CSAC victory, the Highlanders faced off against the Immaculata Mighty Macs tonight. In a tightly contested matchup, the Highlanders were unable to overtake the Mighty Macs on their home turf, losing by a final score of 45-54.
Â
Having won three of their last four games, the Highlanders entered tonight's game with confidence after a near miss against the Mighty Macs a month ago. Cairn played evenly with Immaculata throughout the early stages until a 10-2 run from the Mighty Macs broke things open towards the end of the first quarter. Cairn fought back over the rest of the game, as
Charlotte Camp carried the Highlander offense in the second half with 9 points. Unfortunately, in front of a packed crowd at Alumnae Hall, the Highlanders were unable to get over the hump, getting as close as six points but eventually falling to the Mighty Macs.
Â
Camp,
Aigner Bookard, and
Kendra Stum each were in double figures with 11, 11, and 10 points respectively, while Camp nearly garnered a double-double with 9 rebounds. As the season's finish rapidly approaches the Highlanders have their final home game Saturday at 6:00 PM. Come out as seniors
Katie Bruner and
Amanda Good will be honored in the senior night presentation prior to the game's start.
