LANGHORNE, PA- Cairn women's basketball hosted the College of New Rochelle in a non-conference matchup, defeating the Blue Angels 76-65 after a huge fourth quarter.

The Highlanders laid claim to the lead early on thanks to pinpoint from shooting from
Dakota Hitchner and
Kendra Stum, however, New Rochelle came storming back thanks to a flurry of long distance jumpers. The Blue Angels had momentum on their side, taking the lead at the start of the fourth quarter. Â But Cairn guard
Aigner Bookard found her stroke, knocking in two huge threes to keep the Highlanders ahead by one. Bookard added another layup,
Payton Emerick slashed to the rim for a layup and knocked down two clutch free throws, and the Highlanders got back in the win column – improving to 4-4 on the season.

The Highlanders saw a huge performance from
Kendra Stum as the senior led the Highlanders yet again with 23 points on 9-7 shooting, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals.
Dakota Hitchner chipped in with 19 points and 4 three pointers, and
Aigner Bookard tallied 14 points and 6 rebounds.Â

The Highlanders will have nearly a month to rest their legs, taking the Christmas break off until they take on Delaware Valley University at 6:00 PM January 3
