LANGHORNE, PA- The Highlanders hosted the Rosemont Ravens Saturday afternoon, seeking their second CSAC win of the 2018 season.
 
The Ravens tallied the first 3 points of the day, but Cairn battled back instantly on the back of consistent serving from Brooke Seidel and multiple kills from Haley Sheehan.  The Highlanders led 20-19 in the first set, before rattling off 5 straight points to take the first set 25-19.  The second set began in a similar fashion, however, the Ravens mounted a 7 point run to take the lead back, using this momentum to narrowly win the second set 25-23. After a tough loss, the Highlanders showed their grit, bounding out to a 10-2 lead early in the set, and continuing to bring the pressure with their excellent attack. The Highlanders thoroughly dominated the third set, 25-9, to retake the lead in the match two games to one. With the Ravens on the ropes, both teams traded points over the fourth set in a tightly-contested matchup. The Highlanders led 20-18 before the Ravens scored three straight to take the lead 21-20. After a timeout from the Highlanders, Cairn scored 5 of the last 7 points, to take the set 25-23, and their second CSAC victory 3-1.
 
Cairn will be back in action this Thursday when they travel to Bryn Athyn College in search of their third CSAC victory of the season.
