GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA- Traveling to Gwynedd Valley, PA for tonight's contest, the Highlanders met the Gwynedd Mercy Griffins for the first time this season, dropping the contest by a final score of 40-70.

The Highlanders were blitzed by the Griffins hard-nosed defense and long-range shooting prowess in the first half. Cairn struggled to get into their offensive sets, forcing the issue and taking low-percentage shots over nearly the entire opening period. Conversely, the Griffins canned 10 three pointers over the first twenty minutes to take the lead into the locker room at half time.

Walt Zamroz and the Highlanders adjusted in the second half, utilizing a balanced attack to stay in lockstep with the Griffins over the final twenty minutes. The Highlanders had nine different players score in the second half, led by
Kendra Stum and
Aigner Bookard- while Bookard also chipped in with two steals.
