Box Score RADNOR, PA- The Highlanders traveled to Radnor for their third conference match of the season and were unable to walk away with a victory, falling 2-0 to the Cavaliers.
Cairn women's soccer has had a tough week, and a matchup with conference powerhouse Cabrini could not have been encouraging. However, the Highlanders fought hard the entire afternoon and can walk away with their heads held high. While they were not able to get much going on the offensive end, the Highlanders showed incredible organization and poise on the defensive end. Mackenzie Paugh, buckled down and kept the Cavaliers off the board for the nearly the entirety of the contest, letting in a goal in the 83rd as they pressed forward for the game-tying goal.
Midfield dynamo
Katie Ruitto led the charge on offense for the Highlanders with 2 shots and 1 on goal, while Paugh had 11 saves.
The Highlanders will head to Clarks Summit University on Wednesday to face off against their longtime rival at 3:00 PM.
