Langhorne, PA - The Lebanon Valley Dutchmen scored in the 40th and 86th minutes to nullify a goal from Cairn's Zack Nelson in the 31st minute. Nelson scored on a beautiful header from just outside the six on a center flick from Joey Weaver from the left-side. On the afternoon the Dutchmen outshot the Highlanders 19-10, but only held a 6-3 edge in shots on frame.

The Highlanders drew first blood with the tally from Nelson, his third of the season, but they could not hold the lead for long as the Dutchmen found the back of the net just nine minutes later. The Lebanon Valley goal was scored by Youseff Ouayakhaf from the top left-hand side of the box on a half-volley to tie the game at 1-1.

The score stood square late into the second-half until the Dutchmen put a flurry of attempts on cage in the 86th minute. Jake Kline hit the crossbar with a shot before the ball found the foot of Riley Katshir, who was wide open on the right-side of the six. Katshir put it through on the right-side to give the Dutchmen a 2-1 lead.

The Highlanders generated an offensive chance less than two minutes later, but three straight shots were blocked by the Dutchmen defense and the Highlanders fell short of Lebanon Valley 2-1 on the afternoon.

Zack Nelson led the Highlanders with three shots on the afternoon, including two attempts on frame. Brenden Keller and Brett Kikendall each registered two shots.

In goal, Mark Heater made four saves for the Highlanders.

The loss drops the Highlanders to 3-4-1 on the season and Cairn next takes the pitch on Saturday afternoon when they travel to Valley Forge. Game time slated for 3:00 p.m.
