Cairn Falls To Notre Dame In Road CSAC Games

Baltimore, MD – The Highlanders fell to 0-4 in the CSAC this season with two losses at Notre Dame of Maryland University on Sunday afternoon. The Gators defeated Cairn 22-2 in game one and 20-6 in game two of the doubleheader.
 
Jessica Rolo was a combined 4-6 for the Highlanders across both games and was 3-3 from the plate in game two. Alexandra Nathan and Katelyn Reiss both went 2-3 in game two where the Highlanders had a total of 10 hits.
 
Cairn scored five of their six runs in game two in the fifth inning. Jessica Piccolo, Jessica Rolo and Kendra Stum all hit RBI-singles to drive in runs, followed by a two-RBI single from Keely Congleton.
 
The Gators improved to 7-5 overall with the two wins and 3-1 in the conference. Cairn dropped to 0-14 on the season with the losses. The Highlanders will return to action this week when they host Keystone College on Tuesday, Apr. 5.
