Langhorne, PA – The Highlanders dropped to 0-6 in the CSAC with two losses on Tuesday afternoon to the Giants of Keystone College. Cairn suffered losses of 19-0 and 34-2, while
Rachel Clark picked up the losses in the circle for the Highlanders.
Alyssa Hughes collected the win for Keystone in game one with two hits and five strikeouts. Emily Faulkner picked up the win in game two with three hits and five strikeouts.
Cairn's two hits in the first game came from a double by
Katelynn Reiss and a single by
Kaitlin Gibbs. Both Reiss and Gibbs had singles in the second game, along with
Jessica Rolo.
Alexandra Nathan scored in the fourth inning of the second game after an error by the Giants.
Jessica Piccolo later scored on a wild pitch for the Highlanders in the fifth inning.
Keystone College improved to 7-9 overall this season and 2-2 in the conference with the wins. Cairn fell to 0-16 this season with the losses. The Highlanders will return to the field the Friday when the Highlanders host Cedar Crest College at 2:30 p.m.
