Radnor, PA – Cairn University softball lost two games to Cabrini College on Wednesday afternoon and dropped to 0-10 in the CSAC. The Highlanders lost 27-2 and 19-0 to the Cavaliers, who have yet to lose a game in the conference.
Katelyn Loveless started both games in the circle for the Highlanders and picked up the losses for the day. Taylor Gallagher picked up the win in game one for Cabrini, while Kaitlyn Hohman collected the win in game two.
Cairn had five hits overall in game one, all from different batters.
Katelyn Loveless and
Lydia Hill each had an RBI, while
Keely Congleton and
Kaitlin Gibbs each scored a run. Loveless had 10 earned runs in the circle with Cairn committing nine errors on defense.
In game two Cairn had four hits overall and was led by
Alexandra Nathan who went 2-for-3 on two singles.
Kendra Stum and
Katelynn Reiss each had one hit in the game as well.
With the losses, Cairn dropped to 0-20 overall for the season. Cabrini improved to 13-10 overall and 10-0 in the conference with the wins. The Highlanders will return to the diamond this Friday as they host Summit University at 2:30 p.m.
