Lancaster, PA – Cairn softball suffered two losses at the hands of Lancaster Bible College on Saturday afternoon and dropped to 0-4 on the season. The Chargers exploded for a 35-1 victory in game one and took a 23-2 victory in game two of the doubleheader.
Rachel Clark started the game in the circle for the Highlanders and gave up 22 hits with 25 earned runs. Kelsey Collins picked up the win for the Chargers after pitching just two innings and striking out four batters.
Clark also hit the team's only RBI of the game after sending home
Kaitlin Gibbs in the fifth inning.
Kendra Stum had the team's only other hit in the game.
In game two, Lancaster Bible continued to put the pressure on Cairn and scored 10 runs in the second inning with eight more in the fourth. The Chargers collected 20 hits overall with two home runs and six doubles.
