Langhorne, PA - The Cairn women's volleyball team made quick work of the Rosemont Ravens on Wednesday night, earning their second CSAC victory by a 3-0 (25-10, 25-20, 25-14).
Haley Sheehan led the Highlanders with 10 kills on the evening.
Whitney Seidel chimed in with six kills, including the final kill of the match in her final match in the Mason Activity Center.

Early in the first set the Highlanders and Ravens were tied 4-4, before Cairn used a 21-6 run to end the set. In the set the Highlanders had two separate 5-0 runs with
Kylie McCann and
Breanna Blair serving for one run each.

In the second set, Rosemont jumped out to an early 6-2 lead thanks to three service aces and three kills. Cairn rebounded nicely with a 14-2 run to take a lead that they would not give up. With
Whitney Seidel serving the Highlanders rattled off seven-straight points to double-up the Ravens at 16-8.

The Ravens attempted to even the set, eventually pulling within two at 20-18. They couldn't pull any closer as a 5-2 Cairn run ended the set.
Haley Sheehan earned one of her five service aces on the evening for the final point of the set. Cairn escaped with the 25-20 victory in the set and carried a 2-0 lead into the third frame.

In the third set, Cairn again fell into an early hole at 5-2. Started by a kill from Sheehan, the Highlanders won the next seven points and 14 of the next 16 points to take a commanding 16-7 lead. Cairn would not look back, leading by seven-or more the rest of the way en route to a 25-14 victory in the set and a 3-0 sweep overall.

As mentioned, Sheehan led the Highlanders with 10 kills. She also collected five service aces, matching
Whitney Seidel for the team high.
Liz White assisted 15 kills on the evening to lead the match.

The victory marks the end of the home slate for the Highlanders. Cairn collected three wins on their home floor this season, compared to just one win away from Langhorne thus far this season.

The victory improves the Highlanders to 4-12 overall and 2-7 in the CSAC. Cairn will next take the floor at Neumann University on Tuesday, Oct. 18 at 5:00 p.m.
