Langhorne, PA – Cairn women's volleyball hosted the Immaculata Mighty Macs to a 3-0 loss on Thursday evening and dropped to 0-3 in the CSAC this season. The Highlanders managed just three kills in the match, while Immaculata posted 30 kills to improve to 6-4 overall.
 
Haley Sheehan, Whitney Seidel, and Abigail Litman each had one kill in the match. Breanna Blair assisted on each of the three kills. Blair and Sheehan also had one ace each on the night. Haley Sheehan led the team in digs with seven; she now has 51 digs this season.
 
The Mighty Macs were led by Tess Kieffer with seven kills, followed by Emily Swank and Shelby Bellk with six each. Maranda Jones finished with 20 assists in the match, while Molly Truitt led the team in digs with 10.
 
The Highlanders had one lead in the match—a 3-2 lead in set two—but that was as close as the Highlanders would get to catching the Mighty Macs. Overall, Immaculata had an attacking percentage of .407, with just six errors.
 
With the loss, Cairn fell to 0-11 overall this season, while Immaculata improved to 6-4 on the year. The Highlanders will return to the courts on Wednesday, Sept. 30, when they travel to Notre Dame of Maryland University to continue CSAC play.
