Langhorne, PA - In a near repeated outcome from earlier in the season, the Highlanders fell to the Cavaliers convincingly 102-32 on Tuesday evening. On the plus side,
Amie Eppolito scored a season-high 24 points for Cairn.
The Highlanders also got points from
Amy Faust with six, and
Regina Younger with two. Eppolito also led the team in rebounding with six defensive boards in the game. Amie was 5-15 from three-point range and 7-27 field goals.
Cabrini collected 23 steals on 33 turnovers from the Highlanders. The Cavaliers were led by Amber Keys in scoring with 17; Megan Horn followed her with 15. Keys was nearly perfect from the field shooting 8-9.
The Cavaliers led the entire way and built a 48-16 lead at the half. Eppolito had 14 of the team's 16 points in the first 20 minutes on 4-8 from beyond-the-arc.
Cabrini continued to build to their lead through the second half and had Meghan Horn score 14 points and collect six rebounds. Eppolito shot just 2-15 in the second half but went 5-6 from the free throw line.
With the loss, Cairn dropped to 2-13 overall and 0-10 in the conference, while Cabrini improved to 18-3 overall and 12-0 in the CSAC. Cairn will jump right back into action tomorrow evening when they host Immaculata University at 6 p.m.
