Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

On Senior Day, Highlanders Drop CSAC Game To Cabrini

Langhorne, PA – On senior day the Highlanders hosted the Cavaliers of Cabrini College Saturday afternoon, where they lost 101-54. Their are five seniors on the team so those were the guys to start on the court: Aaron Stovall, Darnell Clowney, Joseph McGill, Omar Askia, and Reuben Lacy.

Three of those five seniors ended the game in double-digits. Clowney led the team with 18 points, followed by Lacy with 12 and Stovall with 10. Through the first three minutes of the game it looked like the Highlanders would be able to stick with the Cavaliers but thats just when Cabrini started to take advantage.

The Cavaliers started to exploit the fact that most of Cairn's forwards are out with injury and they didn't have the height to compete well enough. The Highlanders also looked out of sync with that many guards on the floor at one time. Cabrini hit a double-digit lead with just under 10 minutes to go in the half and eventually built a 20-point lead at halftime.

The second half fared no better for the Highlanders, as the Cavaliers started with a 10-0 run. Cairn brought that lead down to 25 with Clowney and Askia driving through the lane but it wasn't enough to stop the Cavaliers.

Cabrini finished with six players in double-digits, and Aaron Walton-Moss led the team with 17 points and 18 rebounds. Vinny Walls also finished with 17 points for the Cavaliers. As a team, the Cavaliers were 58% from the floor and 40% from beyond-the-arc.

Cairn moved to 2-21 this season and 2-14 in the conference with the result. Cabrini improved to 15-9 overall and 12-5 in the CSAC with the win. Today marked the final home game of the season for the Highlanders so they will tally their next two games on the road; Monday at Immaculata and Wednesday at Baptist Bible.
