Aston, PA - Cairn women's basketball traveled to Neumann University Wednesday night where the Knights had too much for the Highlanders and won 87-21. The Knights improved to 5-7 overall and the Highlanders dropped to 2-6 on the year with the loss.
Neumann controlled the game from the opening tip and never looked back. Points were spread across numerous Neumann players, five of which ended the game in double digits. The Knights' bench contributed with 51 points on the night.
The Highlanders were led by
Amy Faust and
Tori Moll who each put up six points.
Amie Eppolito pulled down eight rebounds along with her three points.
At the halfway mark the Knights built a 49-12 lead and finished off the game outscoring the Highlanders 38-9 in the second half. Cairn will next travel to Cabrini College to take on the Cavaliers this Satuday, Jan. 10 for a 1 p.m. start time.
