Langhorne, PA - The Lady Highlanders welcomed CSAC opponent Keystone College Giants to the Mason Activity Center Saturday afternoon, losing the contest by a final score of 94-21.
After falling to a quick 7-0 deficit in the first two minutes, a flurry of jumpers from
Amie Eppolito,
Tori Moll, and
Regina Younger brought the Lady Highlanders back, as they trailed by a score of 11-7 partway through the first half. Despite the Lady Highlanders early success, the Giants were able to pull ahead over the remainder of the first half due to a suffocating full-court press. Unable to contend with the Giants defensive efforts, Cairn entered the break trailing by a score of 12-56. The second half was much of the same as Keystone's balanced offense and stifling defense shut the Lady Highlanders down, eventually falling to Keystone by a final score of 94-21.
Amie Eppolito tallied 6 points and 4 assists for the Lady Highlanders, while
Amy Faust and
Regina Younger also chipped in with 4 points and 6 and 7 rebounds respectively.
Cairn will look to rebound and achieve their third win of the season when they host Bryn Mawr college on Monday night at 6:00 pm.
