Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Radnor, PA- In a a thrilling doubleheader today between the Lady Highlanders softball team and the Cavaliers of Cabrini College, Cairn was unable to walk away with the win as they were defeated in both contests.

The Lady Highlanders entered today's contests against Cabrini looking to keep up their hot streak and take control at the top of the CSAC standings.  For much of the first game it looked like the Lady Highlanders would achieve their goal, but the odds were not in their favor and Cairn fell to the Cavaliers.  The Lady Highlanders started off hot as a double from leadoff hitter

singled and Cynthia Page hit her second homerun of the afternoon giving the Lady Highlanders the lead.  Despite the Cairn lead, Cabrini was not intimidated and scored nine runs in the bottom of the first taking a big lead over the Lady Highlanders.  Trailing 10-3, a Jessica Good double brought home Kristen Hubler and Carly Moniz, but the Lady Highlanders would get no closer than five runs.  Cabrini tacked on three more runs over the course of the game, winning by a score of 13-5 and sweeping the doubleheader.  

The Lady Highlanders host conference opponent Neumann University tomorrow as they will seek to reverse their fortunes from today.  Cairn softball is still sitting near the top of the CSAC standings so two wins tomorrow could push them to the top.  Pending the rain, the games tomorrow will begin at 12:00 PM.
