The Lady Highlanders come away with two wins and two defeats, finishing ahead of York College, Elizabethtown College, and University of Rochester. Salisbury University closed the tournament as champions, with Richard Stockton placing as runners up. SUNY Cortland and Cairn both wrapped things up with 2-2 records, but the Dragons edged the Highlanders to third-place after defeating the Crimson 3-0 on Saturday.

Senior setter Erin Greenwood impressed enough to earn her way onto the All-Tournament team. She finished with the second most assists in the tournament (141), with the third highest average per set (8.81). Brigid Shehan also put in a solid defensive display, finishing the weekend with the second most digs (83) and the fifth highest average per set (5.19).

As a team, the Highlanders recorded far more digs than their opponents, tallying 319. That's an average of 19.94 digs a set, a full dig more than any other team. Thanks in large part to Greenwood's 141 helpers, Cairn registered the second most assists (171) and second highest average, collecting 10.69 a set.

In their first match on Saturday, the Highlanders faced off with #23 Salisbury University. The nationally-ranked Seagulls proved too strong for Cairn, sweeping the ladies 25-11, 25-11, 25-10. The Crimson bounced back later in the day, taking on the host in the final matchup of the tournament. The two teams battled back and forth, including a marathon second set that took several extra points to determine a winner. The Highlanders held a 2-0 lead after two sets, earning 25-19 and 30-28 wins. However, the Blue Jays refused to give in and took the third and fourth sets, 14-25, 22-25, and forcing a dangerous fifth set. With Elizabethtown possessing all of the momentum and home-court advantage, the Highlanders were forced to fight against the elements in order to come out on top 15-13 to prevail 3-2 in the end.
