LATHAM, NY – The United East Conference has announced its All-Conference Teams and Major Award winners in the sport of Women's Volleyball All three All-Conference teams are made up of five attackers, one setter, one libero and two at-large selections. Additionally, the conference has named its Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year and Coach of the Year.
Freshman outside hitter
Marah Lehman (Chambersburg, PA / Chambersburg) highlighted the All-Conference list as the Rookie of the Year. Lehman was a large contributor to the Cairn success this season, showing off her offensive prowess in her first season. The rookie was extremely efficient, posting the second-best kills-per-set in the conference with 3.68. That helped Lehman rack up 309 kills on the season which was the third-most in the United East. In the Highlander's 25 matches this year, Lehman totaled double-digit kills in 18 of them. One of her top outings came in a crucial win over Penn State Abington as she picked up a season-best 22 kills at a clip of .436.
This was the first time since 2022 that the program has received a major conference award. In addition, Lehman was named First Team All-Conference.
Also on the All-Conference list was junior middle
Georgianna Thorpe (Southampton, PA / William Tennent) who made second team for back-to-back seasons and freshman setter/opposite
Bella Manthe (Manila, Philippines / Faith Academy) who was recognized on third team.
Thorpe was a top 10 blocker in the conference all season while leading the team in qualified hitting percentage (3rd in the United East). Manthe finished second in points among Cairn players.
