Box Score

Due to injuries and class requirements, the Lady Highlanders were forced to take the field with only 10 players, essentially playing the full 90 minutes as if they had received a red card during warm-ups.

As expected, the Cyclones dominated possession and chances throughout the match. However, to Cairn's credit the two teams went into the halftime break all square at 1-1.

Despite only managing one shot in the first half, Cairn's Kathleen Meacham notched her 6th goal of the season and 22nd of her career in the 37th minute. The senior midfielder went on a mazy run down the middle of the field before placing her shot into the upper left corner of the goal.

Earlier in the half, Centenary took a 1-0 in the 17th minute, but were certainly shocked to conceed.

The shots per team was even more lopsided in the second frame, as Centenary unleashed 24 shots compared to the Highlanders' 1.

The Cyclones regained the lead in the 54th minute thanks to a penalty. Centenary added an insurance goal in the 64th minute before an unfortunate own goal pushed Centenary's lead to 4-1.

Over the 90 minutes, Centenary recorded 39 shots to Cairn's two.

Naomi Collipp registered 19 saves in a marathon effort in goal.

The ladies will look to rebound this Saturday against Neumann University.
