Langhorne, PA - Philadelphia Biblical University was shutout in back-to-back games over the weekend against conference foes Neumann University.
Box Score | Game 1
Box Score | Game 2
In the opening game, Neumann's Sarah McGann threw a near perfect game. Instead, McGann had to settle for a no-hitter when she walked PBU's
Ashley Mitchell (Fairless Hills, PA / Pennsbury) in the bottom of the 6th inning, only 2 outs away from ending the game.
Neumann would win the first game 8-0.
In game two,
Sara Poole (Edison, NJ / Timothy Christian) and
Emily Laudenslager (Allentown, PA / Parkland) recorded hits to ensure that the Crimson Eagles did not share a similar "no-hit" fate as in game one. They were, however, unable to turn any of those hits into runs and were once again shutout, this time 11-0.
PBU now stands at 5-29 overall; 2-16 in CSAC.
The ladies will have a couple days rest before traveling to New Jersey to take on College of St. Elizabeth on wednesday.
